Job summary

gpac in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced litigator to join its transportation and logistics group. You will defend motor carriers and related parties in catastrophic injury cases, handling cases from investigation through trial and coordinating with experts and a rapid response team.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of civil litigation or trial experience, with Virginia bar admission and strong writing and advocacy skills; trucking/transportation defense exposure is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of civil litigation experience, with first-chair or significant trial experience a plus.
• Active Virginia bar admission.
• Strong writing, advocacy and client communication skills.
• Trucking or transportation defense experience is ideal but not required.

Responsibilities

• Defend motor carriers, drivers, insurers and logistics companies in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death claims.
• Handle freight, property, cargo and regulatory matters.
• Take cases from investigation through trial, including depositions, motions and jury trials.
• Work with accident reconstruction, medical and other experts, and with the firm's rapid response team.
