Frink-Hamlett Legal Solutions seeks experienced litigators for a long-term, on-site assignment in lower Manhattan to defend cases under New York’s Adult Survivors Act (ASA) and Child Victims Act (CVA). The role offers an hourly rate of $35–$50 and benefits.

Candidates will be assigned to the Tort Division, handle discovery, depositions, motions, and trial work, including first and second chair duties. Requirements include 2+ years NY litigation, a JD from an ABA-accredited school, and active NY

Qualifications

Minimum of 2+ years of New York litigation experience.
Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active, good-standing member of the New York Bar.
Strong pre-trial, research, writing, and client communication skills.
Knowledge of New York laws, courts, and procedures.
Proficiency with legal research tools and Microsoft Office.
New York’s ASA and CVA, a plus.

Responsibilities

Defend City of New York ASA/CVA matters in the Tort Division; attend discovery and status conferences.
Take and defend depositions, request and exchange discovery, negotiate settlements, and draft motions.
Handle first and second chair trial duties and develop case strategy.
Provide timely status updates and conduct relevant statutory and case law research.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, reports, and legal opinions.
