Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is expanding its Charlotte area office and seeking an experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney to handle a heavy and complex caseload from pre-litigation through trial. You will represent plaintiffs in motor vehicle and trucking cases, working with a large case staff including a paralegal and legal assistant.

Our firm offers generous compensation with a base salary, guaranteed commission, and ongoing uncapped bonuses, plus a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Law degree (J.D./Juris Doctor) from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the State Bar (North Carolina required).
• Minimum 3+ years of personal injury / premises liability experience.
• Ability to manage high volume of pre-litigation and litigation cases.
• Excellent client service and communication skills; strong writing and advocacy.
• Self-starter driven by long-term career goals.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of both pre-litigation and litigation cases.
• Drafting and filing of litigation documents including pleadings and motions.
• Guide plaintiff clients through the case process.
• Coordinate with expert witnesses for reports and affidavits.
• Attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.

Summary

Morgan & Morgan is looking for an experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney to join its quickly growing practice of plaintiff's personal injury lawyers and supporting case staff in our growing Charlotte area office.

This Trial Attorney will handle a heavy and complex case load from pre-litigation, litigation, trial prep and trial. Cases may include representing plaintiffs in motor vehicle and trucking accidents.

Our law firm's generous and competitive compensation includes a base salary, guaranteed commission, and competitive ongoing commission fees / bonuses (uncapped), as well as a full benefits package. Additionally, each litigator will have a large case staff assisting them, including a dedicated paralegal and a dedicated legal assistant.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of both pre-litigation and litigation cases
• Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memoranda of law
• Guide plaintiff clients through the case process
• Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits
• Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances

Qualifications

• Law degree (J.D. / JD / Juris Doctor) from a fully accredited law school
• An active member in good standing with the State Bar Association (North Carolina required)
• Minimum 3+ years of personal injury / premises liability experience
• Ability to manage high volume of pre-lit and litigation cases
