Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a telephone triage role at Methodist Physicians Clinic in Hawthorne Court, Omaha. The position runs Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm, and focuses on triage calls, patient assessments, and care coordination to support the plan of care.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, at least 1 year of clinical experience, and is proficient in SBAR documentation, patient education, and collaboration with providers.

Qualifications

• RN license from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required.
• Current valid RN license (compact multistate license acceptable) or temporary permit while awaiting licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone triage to determine patient needs and relay information to providers.
• Document patient assessments and maintain SBAR notes.
• Educate patients and families per provider directions.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and equipment for patient visits.
• Assist with nursing assessments and care coordination across the patient care continuum.
• Process prescriptions renewals and pharmacy communications as directed.
• Maintain accuracy in order entry, documentation, and patient records.
