AMI Network in Los Angeles is seeking a compassionate Triage Registered Nurse (RN) to assess needs, coordinate care, and support outpatient operations with clinical judgment and patient-first care.

The ideal candidate holds a California RN license, at least two years of RN experience, BLS, and excels in communication, education, and teamwork to keep clinic flow smooth and safe.

This role offers an hourly pay of $45–$47 and includes a temporary assignment of about three months.

This is more than answering calls and assessing symptoms. You’ll be a trusted resource for patients and clinical staff alike, helping coordinate care, recognize urgent needs, keep clinic operations running smoothly, and support a team dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality care.

What You'll Bring to the Team

• Be the first line of clinical support. Conduct thorough triage assessments over the phone and in person, identify urgent concerns, and help patients access the appropriate level of care.
• Keep care moving. Help coordinate patient flow, follow-up care, and referrals to ensure patients receive timely, efficient support.
• Put your clinical judgment to work. Consult with providers about abnormal lab and diagnostic results, respond to patient concerns, and help address complex care needs.
• Be a resource for your colleagues. Provide clinical supervision and guidance to LVNs and Medical Assistants, reinforce safe practices, and help team members grow in their roles.
• Educate and empower patients. Explain medications, health conditions, and care needs in a way patients can understand, helping them feel informed and supported.
• Support the bigger picture. Assist with medication dispensary operations, inventory, laboratory procedures, equipment checks, documentation, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Stay ready for the unexpected. Respond to emergencies, adapt to changing clinical needs, and provide nursing support across assigned service locations when needed.

What Makes You a Great Fit?

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• At least two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification in accordance with American Heart Association guidelines.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work effectively with patients and colleagues from diverse cultural, educational, social, economic, and linguistic backgrounds.
• Confidence in providing clinical guidance, teaching others, and working independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
• Reliable attendance during scheduled clinic hours.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Recent experience in an outpatient clinic or ambulatory care setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluency in English and Thai, Khmer, Tagalog, Vietnamese, or Spanish.
• Earn $45-$47/hr
