Position Overview

The Triage Clinician works as part of a mobile crisis intervention team, providing crisis assessment, triaging cases, and coordinating appropriate interventions, primarily in community-based, non-hospital settings. The role involves working in a supportive team environment and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver crisis services 24/7, on-site or mobile.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to incoming crisis calls, triaging cases using clinical judgment
  • Arrange assessments and coordinate transportation
  • Secure placements in detox, inpatient units, or diversionary care
  • Assess mental health and substance use presentations independently
  • Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while liaising with stakeholders
  • Provide telephonic crisis support and determine need for clinical intervention
Schedule & Compensation

Part-Time, 16 hours/week
2nd shift: Thursday and Saturday

Pay Rate:
Unlicensed Clinician: $35.69/hr
Licensed/Independent: $38.25/hr
Additional shift differentials apply

Required Skills & Experience
  • Highly organized, reliable, friendly, with excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; intermediate computer skills required
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • At least two years’ experience in mental health preferred; experience with children/youth and substance use disorders is a plus
