Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certificate preferred.
• Minimum three years of experience as Medical Assistant; one to two years of telephone triage experience.

• Ability to work with diverse populations.
• Experience with EHR and basic software systems.
• CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Triage calls and direct patients to ERs, urgent care, or SHHC providers.
• Screen patient situations to estimate illness severity and urgency.
• Document all communications accurately in the patient record (EHR).
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with providers and nurses as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality in all duties.
• Collaborate with care team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Assist with vaccines and lab services documentation as directed.
• Participate in staff meetings and training per policy.
