Job summary

Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. is seeking a Tri-axle Driver 1 to safely move asphalt and aggregate between sites in a year-round role. The position requires operating heavy trucks, performing manual labor, and adhering to DOT rules under indirect supervision.

You will maintain equipment, complete required paperwork, and meet company standards for safety and reliability. Night shifts, weekends, and long hours are common, with emphasis on safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Must possess minimum valid Class B PA Commercial Driver's License with no air brake restrictions.
• Prefer Class A CDL with tank and hazmat endorsements.
• Must meet company minimum standards for CDL drivers.
• Must obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner's Certificate per 49 CFR 391.43(h).

Responsibilities

• Operate tri-axle dump truck safely and efficiently on highways and off-road to deliver asphalt or aggregate material.
• Report all equipment malfunctions to maintenance staff.
• Perform required administrative duties.
• Perform manual labor such as shovel material.
• Meet performance and technical standards to qualify for Tri-axle Driver 1 entry position.
• Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
• Frequently work more than 40 hours per week including night shifts and weekends.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
