Job summary

J.L. Wesley Enterprises, Inc. in Indiana is seeking a dedicated tri-axle dump truck driver to join our trucking operation.

You will transport aggregate materials, asphalt, and C&D debris to and from job sites while following DOT regulations and safety rules. Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, completing delivery tickets, performing routine maintenance, and communicating with site personnel to ensure on-time deliveries in all weather. Experience with construction sites is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License is required.
• Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate is required.
• Pass a Drug Screening.
• Clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years of heavy truck driving experience (dump truck experience preferred).
• Knowledge of construction site safety and DOT regulations.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Job Description:

We are looking to hire a dedicated tri-axle dump truck driver to join our 30-year-old trucking company. The tri-Axle dump truck driver’s responsibilities include transportation of aggregate material (sand, rock, and dirt), Asphalt material, and construction and demolition (C&D) debris to and from specified locations. The driver is responsible for pre/post trip inspections, reporting mechanical issues, routine maintenance on their truck, and proper handling of documents required for each job. The driver should also be able to safely drive and operate the truck in all weather conditions.

To be successful as a dump truck driver, you should be able to pick up and deliver materials according to a schedule. Ultimately, a top-performing dump truck driver should perform all duties in accordance with company safety rules and Department of Transportation (DOT) road safety regulations.

Dump Truck Driver Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License
• Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Pass a Drug Screening
• Clean driver’s record.
• 2 years’ experience driving a heavy commercial vehicle, dump truck experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations.

This role requires adherence to DOT regulations, company safety policies, and delivery schedules while maintaining a professional attitude and properly caring for assigned equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites
• Abilityto safelyoperatea commercial motor vehicle with adequate visual acuity, depth perception, and peripheral vision in both daylight and low-light/nighttime conditions (with or without corrective lenses)
