Job summary

Omni Orlando at ChampionsGate is seeking an attentive server for our upscale casual dining environment. You will greet guests, explain menus and beverage offerings, and deliver polished service that reflects Omni's standards.

Prior wine knowledge and the ability to upsell beverages are highly valued. Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years of upscale casual serving experience, familiarity with wine, spirits, and beer, and enjoy working in a dynamic resort setting with flexible scheduling including

Responsibilities

• Wait on tables promptly and courteously, serving guests in alignment with OMNI Moments of Service Standards.
• Maintain familiarity with menus and beverage offerings to assist guests effectively.
• Polish glassware, set up and break down stations, and perform side work as assigned by the restaurant manager.
• Provide excellent guest interaction, smile, greet guests by name when possible, and ensure a welcoming dining experience.

Overview

To wait on tables promptly, courteously and to serve the guest in any way possible.

Essential Job Functions

• Knowledge of dining room service.
• Must have full familiarity with menus.
• Must have full knowledge of beverage offerings.
• Station set-up and break-down. Complete all other side work duties as assigned.
• To polish and clean the water glasses in his/her assigned station before opening hours.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.
• Service to guests according to OMNI Moments of Service Standards.
• Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained.
• Walk-in refrigerator, and reach-in cooler
• Interior of hotel, in the restaurant, and kitchen. Exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Exterior of Hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
• Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.
• Exposure to food items and beverages.
• Knowledge of alcoholic beverage mix, such as Mojito, Cosmopolitan to name a few.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to be on your feet for up to eight hours

Working Environment

• Must be flexible with schedules including weekends and holidays
• Able to communicate effectively with guests and other associates
• Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environment
