Job summary

o5 group in New York is seeking a trend-driven Designer to lead concept-to-creation across girls apparel. Translate market insights into seasonal collections, driving color, fabric, washes, trims, print/graphics, and silhouette strategy.

You will partner with graphics, technical design, production, and vendors to deliver elevated, brand-right product, leveraging 5+ years in fashion/apparel design and strong CAD/Illustrator skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fashion/apparel design experience.
• Experience with denim is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction and tech pack creation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design process—from concept, color, wash, special treatments/finishes, and trim details to final execution.
• Shop the market and conduct competitive analysis; translate trend and silhouette insights into on-trend assortments (focus on denim).
• Build seasonal stories: mood boards, theme direction, sample rigging, trend presentations; align with design leadership on creative direction.
• Collaborate with print/graphics and cross-functional teams to execute a clear, elevated seasonal vision.
• Work with the sample room and local vendors to develop prototypes and presentation samples.
• Collaborate with technical design and production on fit/quality approvals to ensure brand standards are met.
• Initiate new denim concepts and categories; propose innovative washes, treatments, and silhouettes.
• Manage fabric and trim follow-ups to keep calendars on track.
