Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Woodinville, WA is seeking a Trimmer/Climber to perform tree trimming, branch removal, and related tasks. You will operate and service the required tools, manage debris, and help keep trucks and sites orderly while prioritizing safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must walk, climb and work from ladders at various heights on uneven surfaces under demanding weather.
• No fear of heights.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Minimum of 4000 hours of line clearance tree trimming experience.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Sprays areas with equipment to prevent further growth.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush and debris into a woodchipper.
• Repairs minor damage to lawns, fences and walkways.
• Services gasoline, air and hand-powered tools and other equipment.
• Relays hand signals, directs traffic and operates trucks as assigned.
• Keeps trucks and work areas clean and orderly.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards.
• Cooperates with customers, police and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Sets up barriers and warning signs to protect employees and the public.
• Trained to perform tree and bucket rescue.
• Assists in training new employees.
• Inspects tools and equipment and requests repairs when needed.
• Maintains good housekeeping on trucks and at work locations.

• Maintains good housekeeping on trucks and at work locations.
• Performs other related work, as assigned by superiors.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces, performing mentally/physically demanding work under unfavorable weather conditions while handling equipment or material.
• No fear of heights.
• Must have good hand-to-eye coordination.
• Must have a minimum of 4000 hours of previous line clearance tree trimming expierience.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a minimum of 4000 hours of previous line clearance tree trimming expierience.

Pre-Screen

• Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.

License & Certifications

• A Driver's License is Preferred, but not required.
