Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Wheat Ridge, Colorado is hiring a Trimmer Trainee to grow into skilled tree trimming roles. The position is full-time, non-exempt and pays weekly with starting hourly wages between $21.65 and $26.72, depending on experience.

You will operate and maintain tools, trim and remove branches, and support safety and traffic control. Benefits include a company-sponsored retirement plan, medical/dental/vision insurance, EAP, and life and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
• No fear of heights and good hand-to-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris.
• Sprays areas with equipment to prevent growth.
• Loads/unloads trucks and feeds brush into a woodchipper.
• Repairs minor damage to lawns, fences, and walkways.
• Maintains safety by watching for hazards and directing traffic.
• Relays hand signals and assists with vehicle operations.
• Keeps trucks and work areas clean and organized.
• Trained to perform tree and bucket rescue.
