Asplundh is hiring a Capital Transmission Trimmer/Operator in Michigan. The role is full-time, non-exempt, with a pay rate of $36.05-$44.22 per hour plus a benefits package. You'll work a 4x10 schedule, with potential overtime and opportunities to respond to storms.

Responsibilities include trimming and removing trees using ladders, trimmers, and saws; loading logs; operating trucks; and ensuring safety. Minimum qualifications require 18+, ability to wear PPE, valid driver's license, and

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to wear necessary PPE as per task assigned.
• Able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must affiliate with the local union.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees using ladders, safety belt, climbing line, powered trimmer lift truck, or ground tools.
• Uses wedges, sledges, and chainsaws for felling and trimming.
• Sprays stumps and brush to prevent regrowth.
• Loads/unloads trucks with logs, stumps, brush, debris; feeds brush into woodchipper.
• Maintains tools, trucks, and work area; trains new employees.
• Sets up barriers and signals for safety around work site.
