Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in the Abilene/San Angelo, TX area is seeking a Trimmer/Climber for a full-time, non-exempt role. Travel is required to assignments across TX. This position involves trimming/removing trees and operating service tools and equipment.

The role requires working at heights, physical stamina, and the ability to follow safety protocols. Company benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and EAP. Driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces while handling equipment or material.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Sprays areas with equipment to prevent further growth.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush & debris into a woodchipper.
• Assists in training new employees.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, etc. to protect employees and the public.
