Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is hiring for Entry-level and Skilled Trimmers and Climbers in a full-time role. On-the-job training is provided, and you’ll work outdoors to trim and shear trees near utility lines to ensure clearance.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces while handling equipment.
• Ability to obtain knowledge to identify tree and shrub species.
• No fear of heights.
• Good hand-to-eye coordination.
• Willing and able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies, including holidays and weekends.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Entry-level position, no experience required.
• Previous experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees by climbing with ladders or from ground using saws and other equipment.
• Uses saws to fell/trims trees and splits logs into manageable pieces.
• Plan, assign, direct, and coordinate work.
• Obtain access from property owners and explain work to be done.
• Maintain customer relations and ensure safety on site.
• Loads/unloads trucks and feeds debris into a woodchipper.
• Performs other related work as assigned.
