Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Bryan, OH is seeking a Trimmer/Climber to join our field team. This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position offering competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and assistance programs.

You will trim, climb, operate equipment, and support field operations while following safety procedures and helping keep communities safe.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Able to walk, climb, and work from ladders or at heights on uneven surfaces.
• No fear of heights and able to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Good hand-to-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Sprays areas with equipment to prevent further growth.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush & debris into a woodchipper.
• Repairs minor job-related damage to lawns, fences, and walkways.
• Maintains good housekeeping on trucks and at work locations.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc. to protect employees and the public.
• Trained to perform tree and bucket rescue.
• Assists in training new employees.
