Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Minnesota is seeking a Trimmer/Climber to trim, tops, and reshape trees to clear powerlines. This Full-Time +, Non-Exempt role involves operating and maintaining equipment, loading materials, and adhering to safety protocols while serving utility customers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No fear of heights.
• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
• Able to walk, climb, and work from ladders and uneven surfaces in varying weather.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must be willing to join local union and pay dues.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Sprays areas with equipment to prevent further growth.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush and debris into wood chipper.
• Repairs minor damage to lawns, fences, and walk-ways.
• Services gasoline, air, and hand-powered tools; maintains equipment.
• Relays hand-signals, directs traffic, and operates trucks/equipment.
• Keeps trucks and work areas clean; follows safety protocols.
• Assists training new employees; performs preventive checks on gear.
