Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber in Boone, NC. The role involves trimming and removing trees, operating and maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety and efficiency on job sites.

Entry-level candidates are welcome; a high school diploma is preferred. The position requires physical endurance, height flexibility, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Competitive hourly pay is offered, with strong safety and training programs in place.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces.
• No fear of heights.
• Must have good hand-to-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cleans and splits debris into manageable pieces.
• Feeds brush & debris into a woodchipper.
• Relays hand signals, directs traffic, drives and operates trucks and equipment.
• Keeps trucks and work areas clear and orderly.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.
• Assists in training new employees.
• Maintains good housekeeping on trucks and at work locations.
