Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is seeking staff for its seasonal tree lot operation. The role involves unloading, trimming, displaying, and selling Christmas trees, plus assisting customers with loading trees onto vehicles and supporting tree deliveries.

You will help maintain safety, cleanliness, and order on the lot while greeting customers and providing excellent service throughout shifts. Ideal candidates are 18 years or older with prior customer service experience, strong communication,

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Previous experience with customer service is preferred.
• Ability to supervise program area and ensure safety of members, customers, and staff.
• Requires ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Experience handling power tools and/or tree lot experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload, trim, drill and stand Christmas trees and other sale items.
• Sell trees and assist customers; load trees onto customers' vehicles.
• Help with tree deliveries and loading; assist in delivering trees to customers’ homes.
• Keep the lot clean, safe, and well-maintained; monitor equipment.
• Greet customers and provide excellent service; respond to inquiries and complaints.
• Assist Director/Tree Lot Manager with communication, logistics, and administration.
