We are hiring for the Inventory Specialist position located in Central California areas such as Bay, Sacramento, Stockton South, San Ramon, Pleasanton, and surrounding cities.

Job Description

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for collecting and maintaining tree inventory data using GIS-based tools and other methods. This includes field data collection, inventory updates, and related tasks. The role involves working closely with the GIS Manager, internal staff, and external partners to ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory data. The position offers professional growth opportunities.

Work Hours

7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Opportunities to travel to various project sites. Earn per diem; company pays for overnight accommodations.

Salary Range

$68,640.00 up to $91,300.00 annually, D.O.E.

Qualifications
  • High level of organizational skills and computer literacy, along with basic clerical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of arboriculture, including tree/planting species identification.
  • College coursework in Arboriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Currently hold or obtain ISA Certified Arborist certification.
  • Proficiency in GIS-based systems and inventory software preferred.
  • Prior experience in tree inventory or related positions.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Regular Job Duties
  • Collect and maintain tree inventory data using handheld devices.
  • Prepare and organize work plans related to inventory updating.
  • Collaborate with various partner staff on tree inventory functions.
