Job summary

Anne Arundel County Government is seeking a Full Time Tree Crew Worker to trim and remove trees along county roads and perform related maintenance tasks. This is skilled manual labor requiring climbing, operating in elevated buckets, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

You will inspect tools, use chainsaws and hand tools, and support road and drainage maintenance. A minimum of one year climbing and trimming trees is preferred; a valid Class B license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in climbing and trimming trees (1 year).
• Knowledge of tree work and safety devices.
• Ability to perform skilled trimming and felling.
• Good physical condition; able to work at height.
• Education sufficient to understand and follow instructions.
• Valid commercial Class B license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform trimming and removal of trees along county right of way.
• Cut, prune, and trim trees; remove limbs and trees; remove brush and debris.
• Perform tree work from elevated bucket and climb trees using safety gear.
• Oversee safety precautions and assist in general maintenance of roads and drains.
