Job summary

SavATree LLC in Norwalk, CT is seeking a Tree Climber to join our General Tree Care Team. You will perform pruning, removals, and cabling on residential and commercial properties, focusing on safety and quality.

As part of a safety-first culture, you’ll climb using ropes, saddles, and ladders; operate chainsaws and bucket trucks; and collaborate with a trained crew to deliver outstanding tree care while following ANSI standards.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Authorization to work legally in the U.S.
• Passion for outdoor work and environmental stewardship.
• Experience pruning large shade trees and ornamentals.
• Familiar with tree/shrub species and their characteristics.
• Comfortable climbing without spurs.
• Experience with chainsaws and aerial lifts (bucket trucks).
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality tree care services including pruning, removals, and cabling.
• Climb trees safely using ropes, saddles, and ladders.
• Operate chainsaws, aerial lifts and other tree care equipment effectively.
• Apply ANSI A300 pruning standards and ANSI Z safety practices in all tasks.
• Ensure proper pruning cuts and preserve tree health and structure.
• Assist in removals and use ropes/spikes for safe takedowns as needed.
• Identify hazards and perform safety checks before, during, and after each job.
• Maintain strong communication with team members and clients, ensuring safety and service.
