Job summary

Wolf Tree, Inc., a Davey company, seeks skilled tree care specialists in Johnson City, TN to perform pruning and removal for utility clients. You’ll climb, trim, and remove trees using safe systems as part of a collaborative crew. A valid driver’s license is required; CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work.
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®.

Responsibilities

• Climb Trees and perform pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers.
• Prune treetops and remove damaged trees by trimming or removal.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.
• Work as an active crew member with ground crew and foreperson.
• Demonstrate safety and teamwork at all times.
