Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts is seeking a dedicated Tree Climber in Maryland to perform climbing, pruning, and removal tasks. A minimum of one year of professional climber experience in line clearance is required. The role offers full-time employment with benefits including medical, vision, dental insurance and a 401K plan.

A driver’s license is preferred but not required. Responsibilities include loading trucks, operating hand tools and chainsaws, and maintaining equipment safety.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of climber experience in line clearance.
• Driver's license preferred but not required.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• Ability to travel for storm restoration when needed.
• High school diploma or education equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Climb, prune, and remove trees per Foreperson directives.
• Load/unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into brush chipper.
• Work from the ground using hand saws, pole saws, pruners, hand pruners, loppers, and gas-powered chain saws.
• Inspect and ensure proper working condition of all assigned tools and equipment.
• Safeguard employees and public from hazards in and around the work area by enforcing safe practices.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
