SavATree in Dayton, OH is seeking a Tree Climber to join our General Tree Care Team. You will climb, prune, and remove trees, operating chainsaws and bucket trucks to deliver safe, high-quality service to clients.

You are safety-focused and skilled in climbing, with the ability to identify tree species, follow industry standards, and work collaboratively with a knowledgeable team in an outdoor setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with proper pruning practices for large shade trees and ornamentals.
• Ability to identify native and introduced tree/shrub species and their characteristics.
• Ability to climb without spurs.
• Knowledge of tree care safety standards.
• Hands-on experience with chainsaws and related equipment.
• Experience operating aerial lifts (bucket trucks).
• A valid U.S. driver’s license (CDL a plus).

Responsibilities

• Climb and prune large shade trees and ornamentals using proper practices.
• Perform removals, cable bracing, and other tree care techniques.
• Safely operate chainsaws, equipment, and aerial lifts (bucket trucks).
• Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality service to clients.
• Apply industry safety standards in all aspects of tree care.
