Job summary

Joshua Tree Experts is seeking an experienced Tree Climber to join our founding team in the North Chicago market. You will work on 2-4 person crews, performing removals, pruning, and preservation work for discerning homeowners while upholding premium brand standards.

You will be part of a growing company that values safety, training, and career advancement, with opportunities to train others and move into crew leadership as the territory expands.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 2 years of professional tree climbing experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• ISA Certification preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and professional demeanor.
• Commitment to safety and following established protocols.
• Physical ability for demanding climbing work.
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to train others.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert tree climbing for removals, pruning, and preservation work.
• Communicate effectively with crew leader and team members.
• Maintain professional image and represent JTE's premium brand standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and build rapport with homeowners.
• Delegate work to ground crew and ensure safe operations.
• Maintain assigned equipment and climbing gear to company standards.
• Follow comprehensive safety protocols and ANSI standards.
• Identify and communicate upselling opportunities to crew leader.
• Work minimum 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities.
• Understand and operate aerial lift equipment as needed.
