Job summary

Richter's Tree Service in the Capital Region, NY is hiring an experienced Tree Climber / CDL Truck Driver. You will access trees with bucket trucks, perform pruning and removals, and operate various commercial equipment.

We value safety, reliability, and customer service as you help maintain residential and commercial landscapes across New York. This full-time, year-round role offers growth and strong earning potential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional tree care experience.
• CDL Class A or B license.
• Experience climbing, pruning, and removing trees.
• Experience operating bucket trucks and commercial equipment.
• Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques.
• Ability to safely operate chainsaws and other tree care equipment.
• Excellent physical stamina with ability to climb, lift 75+ pounds, outdoors in all weather.
• Dependable attendance and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate bucket trucks and aerial lift equipment to access trees for pruning and removals.
• Perform professional tree trimming, pruning, removals, and planting care using industry-approved techniques.
• Safely operate CDL dump trucks, trailers, chippers, chainsaws, stump grinders, and other tree care equipment.
• Perform complex tree removals using advanced rigging techniques and proper dismantling procedures.
• Conduct daily vehicle and equipment inspections.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
• Follow ANSI safety standards and all company safety procedures.
• Provide outstanding customer service while representing Richter's Tree Service professionally.

Required

• CleanCDL Class A or Class B Driver's License
• Experience climbing, pruning, and removing trees
• Experience operating bucket trucks and commercial equipment
• Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques
• Ability to safely operate chainsaws and other tree care equipment
• Excellent physical stamina with the ability to climb, lift 75+ pounds, and work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Dependable attendance and a positive attitude

Preferred

• ISA Certified Arborist
• Crane experience
• First Aid/CPR Certification
• Leadership or crew supervision experience
