Job summary

The Urban Foresters are seeking a Tree Care Technician Foreman (Levels 1–4) in Austin, TX. This role leads a three-person crew, guiding safety, climbing work, and client-facing communication from the canopy while mentoring crew members.

You will manage complex pruning and removals without cranes, enforce ANSI Z133 safety, and foster a culture of learning and teamwork within a tight-knit crew.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and lift 75+ lbs.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License (Class C a plus).
• Willingness to obtain EHAP and First Aid/CPR certification.
• Proven capacity to lead, teach, and motivate a team of 3–5+ workers.
• Advanced proficiency in climbing (SRT/DdRT) and rigging.

Job Title: Tree Care Technician: Foreman (Levels 1–4)

Department: Production
Reports To: Production Manager

Role Objective

The Foreman is the primary leader of the three-person crew. This is an active climbing role responsible for the developmental, technical, and safety leadership of the team. The Foreman ensures that every job is executed to the highest arboricultural standards while actively mentoring crew members.
