Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and considerable experience in arboriculture or equivalent.
• Knowledge of proper tree pruning methods and rigging practices.
• Ability to climb safely with or without climbing spikes; safety precautions for arboriculture.

Responsibilities

• Prune and remove trees on streets and city property, maintaining tree structure and safety.
• Climb using rope, saddle, and climbing spikes; perform dead/diseased limb removal.
• Operate aerial lift truck and equipment such as wood chippers, stump grinders, and skid steers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
