Job summary

Zielies Tree Service Inc. in Wisconsin is hiring Tree Care Professionals to join a safety‑driven team focused on vegetation management and powerline right‑of‑ways. You’ll perform pruning, trimming, herbicide application, and log handling while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Fulltime hours are four 10‑hour days, with overtime opportunities and potential for out‑of‑state storm work, plus a strong union benefits package including health, retirement plans, paid holidays, and training.

Qualifications

• Experience in vegetation management and tree care.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Willingness to work 4x10-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Cut, and/or trims using various industry best management practices.
• Uses wedges, sledges, and chain saws in felling trees or trimmed trunks and in cutting and splitting logs into manageable pieces.
• Herbicide application to prevent further growth as indicated on maps.
• Loads and unloads trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris and/or feeds brush into a woodchipper.
• Utilize best management practices to safeguards other employees and public from jobsite hazards in and around work area.
• Inspect tools, truck, and other work equipment. Request repair or replacement equipment, when necessary. Maintains good housekeeping on truck and at work locations.
• Commitment to work safe daily.
• Perform other related work, as assigned by superiors.
