Job summary

Joshua Tree Experts in Greater Atlanta, GA is looking for a Tree Care Groundsman to join our 2-4 person crews. This hands-on role works alongside climbers and aerial lift operators to assist in tree removal, pruning, stump grinding, and wood chipper operations.

It’s an entry-to-early-career position designed to build skills and grow within a professional team. You will learn safety procedures, operate equipment, and contribute to reliable daily operations while delivering friendly customer

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in tree care operations.
• Valid drivers license.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to work 40+ hours per week.
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• First Aid and CPR Certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Set up safety and traffic control on job sites.
• Assist with pruning, removal, stump grinding and debris removal.
• Safely operate tools and perform equipment maintenance.

The Tree Care Groundsman is essential to how our 2-to-4-person crews function day to day. Working alongside climbers and aerial lift truck operators, you will assist in tree removal, pruning, stump grinding, and wood chipper operations. Key Responsibilities

• Safety & Traffic Control: Set up safety and traffic control measures on job sites; maintain drop zones to keep coworkers and the public safe; follow all safety procedures and maintain a strong safety culture.
• On-Site Operations: Assist with pruning and reducing; perform daily equipment and vehicle preparation; load and unload trucks and chippers with logs, brush, and debris.
• Equipment Use & Maintenance: Safely operate tools including gas-powered saws, pole saws/clips, and chippers; service and maintain equipment as needed.
• Communication & Professionalism: Report to work on time every day; follow directions from crew leaders and climbers; handle all communication with team members and the public while climbers are aloft; maintain a professional image and deliver friendly, excellent customer service.
