Job summary

Joshua Tree Experts in Connecticut is seeking a Tree Care Groundsman to support 2-to-4-person crews, assisting in tree removal, pruning, stump grinding, and wood chipper operations. This entry-to-early-career role offers hands-on learning and growth within a professional team.

You will work alongside climbers and aerial lift operators, maintain safety protocols, and contribute to high-quality customer service while building a solid foundation in tree care operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tree care operations.
• Valid driver\'s license and ability to work 40+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Safety & traffic control setup on job sites and maintaining drop zones.
• Assist with pruning and reducing; prepare equipment and load/unload from trucks and chippers.
• Operate tools including gas-powered saws, pole saws/clips, and chippers; service equipment as needed.
• Communicate professionally with team members and the public while climbers are aloft.
