Job summary

Moon Valley Nurseries is seeking an experienced Tree Care Climber to assist the Foreman, lead the crew, and perform climbing and trimming of trees at our Irvine location. You will operate equipment such as chainsaws and chippers and support team members to deliver quality service to clients.

The role requires learning and growth, with training provided to develop skills into a rewarding career in tree care.

Qualifications

• Follow specific instructions and safety protocols.
• Knowledge of climbing harnesses, tree gaffs, chippers, chainsaws, and rigging techniques.
• Comfortable climbing to heights up to 60 ft.
• Proper felling techniques.
• Follow safety guidelines and OSHA standards.
• Follow ANSI Z133 and ANSI A300 standards.

Responsibilities

• Pruning and removing trees and shrubs.
• Using small tools such as shovels, rakes, chainsaws, and other applicable equipment.
• Cleaning, organizing and following tasks as a crew to take care of our clients.
• Willing to learn and grow to become even better.
• Climbing trees for pruning or removals
• Knowledgeable about trees and tree climbing techniques
• Other duties as assigned.
