Job summary

Moon Valley Nurseries in Irvine, CA seeks a Tree Care Climber to assist the Foreman, lead the crew, climb and trim trees, and operate equipment such as chainsaws and chippers.

You will learn new skills, follow safety protocols, and contribute to client care while pruning and removing trees. Must be ready for outdoor work in varied conditions; high heights up to 60 ft.

Qualifications

• Able to follow safety protocols and work in outdoor conditions.
• Experience or familiarity with climbing harnesses and tree rigging.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 60 ft.
• Knowledge of proper felling techniques.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Pruning and removing trees and shrubs.
• Using small tools such as shovels, rakes, chainsaws, and other applicable equipment.
• Cleaning, organizing and following tasks as a crew to take care of our clients.

Job SummaryThe Tree Care Climber is responsible for assisting the Foreman by helping lead the crew, climbing and trimming trees, operating equipment such as chainsaws and chippers and helping other crew members with tasks and continually learning new things. The position is active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. The employee must frequently reach for, pull, lift, and/or move items weighing up to and over 50 lbs. The employee must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind.
