Valley Tree Care in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Tree Trimming Assistant/Groundsman to join our growing team. This entry-level role offers paid training to learn tree care, trimming and removal while you build skills with a family-owned company.

You will support trimming technicians, prep the truck, and follow safety procedures. With reliability, honesty and a strong work ethic, you’ll grow professionally as you learn about plant health and our service offerings.

• Self-motivated and able to work by yourself while reporting to a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow all policies and procedures for the position.
• Be able to show up consistently at 6 AM.
• Stock the work truck with all equipment and supplies needed.
• Commute to properties with Trimming Technician and provide support as they evaluate the property.
• Support Trimming Technicians by carrying out tree trimming and maintenance services.
• Keep the work truck clean and organized.
• Fill out paperwork and reports properly.
• Effectively communicate with management about field activities.
• Continue to learn to improve understanding of plant health and our products and services.
