Job summary

Valley Tree Care is seeking a Tree Trimming Assistant/Groundsman to join our Phoenix Valley team. You will receive paid training to learn tree care, trimming, and removal, contributing to a family-owned company with 27 years of service.

As part of a tight-knit crew, you will start early (6 AM), stock trucks, and support technicians in field evaluations and maintenance tasks, while maintaining records and growing your knowledge of plant health and our services.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and able to work independently under supervision.
• Punctual with consistent attendance.
• Detail oriented with ability to multitask.
• Positive attitude even in challenging situations.
• Desire to learn and grow in tree care.
• Strong work ethic and integrity when representing the company.

Responsibilities

• Learn to follow all policies and procedures for the position.
• Be able to show up consistently at 6 AM.
• Stock work truck with all equipment and supplies.
• Commute to properties with Trimming Technician and provide support as they evaluate the property.
• Support Trimming Technicians by carrying out tree trimming and maintenance services.
• Keep work truck clean and organized.
• Fill out paperwork and reports properly.
• Effectively communicate with management about field operations.
