Job summary

The START Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver skilled nursing care and conduct oncology assessments. You will coordinate care with physicians, other providers, and ancillary staff to ensure comprehensive treatment delivery.

Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and related therapies, documenting care, mentoring support staff, and educating patients and families about disease management and treatment side effects.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license issued by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • Preferred 1–3 years of oncology or acute care experience with chemotherapy certification.
  • Good phlebotomy, venous access, organizational and time management skills.

  • Ensures the proper documentation of care delivered to include completion of fee tickets that assure accurate billing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensures the safe administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other medications in compliance with physicians' orders.
  • Conducts nursing assessments and evaluates the physical and emotional status of patients and coordinates appropriate care and follow-up.

LIST ANY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OR SKILLS
