A Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) Class "D" certificate or higher is required. This role offers a chance to contribute to environmental protection and wastewater solutions, working with a dedicated team to ensure operational excellence and community safety.

About Resource Renew

Resource Renew, part of WLSSD, was established in 1971 to address environmental pollution in the St. Louis River Basin. It provides wastewater and solid waste services for a 530-square-mile region around Duluth, MN. Its operations include a wastewater treatment plant, composting sites, hazardous waste collection, a waste transfer station, and a materials recovery center.

Role Responsibilities

• Monitor and control wastewater treatment processes
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations
• Perform routine equipment maintenance
• Conduct daily water quality tests and make adjustments
• Participate in safety training and adhere to safety procedures
• Collaborate with team members to optimize plant performance

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should possess:

• MPCA "D" Wastewater Operator Certificate (required), Class "C" or "B" preferred
• State of Minnesota Special Engineer Boiler License or ability to obtain it
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and laboratory testing
• Experience with computerized control systems like SCADA
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work independently and in teams
