Job description

Join to apply for the Treatment Plan Coordinator role at 42 North Dental.

Overview:
The TPC works under the office manager (OM). The TPC facilitates scheduling and payment of proposed dental treatment plans as defined by providers. The TPC presents payment options to patients and ensures all patient clinical and financial concerns and questions are answered, so that patients are well informed in making their oral health decisions. The TPC also follows up with patients to schedule outstanding treatment.

Responsibilities
  1. Discusses treatment options with patients as recommended by the clinical team. Answers all financial questions related to the proposed treatment and facilitates answers from clinical providers if needed.
  2. Verifies and reviews patient insurance benefits for proposed or scheduled treatments.
  3. Educates patients on different payment options, including in-house and third-party financing.
  4. Documents and processes accepted treatment and financial arrangements in dental software and payment processing systems.
  5. Obtains necessary prior authorizations for specialty treatments, including medical authorizations or referrals, and coordinates with insurance providers.
  6. Performs all job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company policies and procedures, maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
