Job summary

Diversicare seeks a licensed RN or LPN to administer medications, provide treatments, and monitor residents per physician orders. The role includes documenting care, ensuring safe medication handling, and reporting changes to supervisors and physicians.

The candidate will educate residents and families, coordinate with CNAs, and uphold our service standards to deliver compassionate, high-quality post-acute care across our centers.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active license with the State Board of Nursing (RN or LPN).
• Ability to lead and motivate staff.
• Capable of adapting to frequent daily schedule changes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications, orally and by injections.
• Provides treatments per physician orders and observes residents’ responses.
• Maintains and documents resident records and care activities.
• Ensures safe handling and storage of medications and controlled substances.
• Communicates changes in residents' condition to supervisors and physicians.
• Provides education to residents and families about care.
• Assists in planning and supervising CNAs; assigns daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications, orally and by injections.
• Provides treatments to residents per physician orders.
• Observes residents reactions to medications and treatments.
• Ensures proper handling and storage of medications and controlled substances.
• Observes, records and reports all services provided.
• Change in resident’s condition will be reported to supervisor andattendingphysician.
• Signs off that medication and treatments were given/provided, as required by policy.
• Maintains resident’s medical record by way of documentation, as required by policy.
• Provides education to residents and families regarding care.
• Assists in planning, supervising and instructing C.N.T.’s; assigns daily work assignments to ensure positive outcomes for residents.
• Implements and maintains policies and procedures.
• Ensures that safe work practices are utilized.
• Ensures proper infection control techniques are utilized.

Qualifications

• Has a currentlicense by the State Board of Nursing, as an R.N. or L.P.N.
• Must have the ability to lead and motivate subordinates.
• Ability to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change, as work schedule will change on a daily basis.
• Able to work intensely with residents, physicians, and staff.
• Capable of working to prescribe nursing standards.
• Goodinterpersonal and communication skills; has an interest to perform aservice.
