Job summary

Diversicare is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care in our skilled nursing and long-term care settings. You will administer medications, oversee treatments, document care, and educate residents and families as part of a collaborative care team.

In this role you will supervise CNAs, adapt to daily scheduling changes, and ensure adherence to nursing standards while maintaining a safe, compassionate environment for residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Has a current license by the State Board of Nursing as an RN or LPN.
• Must have the ability to lead and motivate subordinates.
• Ability to perform a variety of duties with frequent changes in schedule.
• Able to work closely with residents, physicians, and staff.
• Capable of upholding nursing standards.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; service-minded.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications, orally and by injections.
• Provides treatments to residents per physician orders.
• Observes residents' reactions to medications and treatments.
• Ensures proper handling and storage of medications and controlled substances.
• Records and reports all services provided; changes in condition reported to supervisor/physician.
• Signs off medication and treatments as required by policy.
• Maintains resident medical records per policy.
• Educates residents and families regarding care.
• Instructs and directs CNAs; assigns daily work to ensure positive outcomes.
• Implements and maintains policies and procedures.
• Ensures safe work practices and infection control measures.

Qualifications
