Job summary

Life Care Center of Scottsdale is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide primary skin care under physician and RN supervision. This full-time day shift role requires an active LPN license, CPR certification, and experience in wound care and geriatric nursing.

You will educate CNAs, monitor patient conditions, and ensure high standards of safety and care. Join a dedicated nursing team in a post-acute care setting, maintaining confidentiality and following Life Care policies.

Qualifications

• Attended an accredited LPN program.
• Currently licensed/registered in applicable State. Must maintain an active LPN license in good standing throughout employment.
• Prior wound care experience preferred.
• One year geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; CPR certification must remain current.

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeably and competently deliver quality nursing care to patients.
• Identify, manage, and treat specific skin disorders and primary/secondary lesions.
• Work with nursing team to educate CNAs as to proper positioning, training, and skin care.
• Identify changes in patients’ conditions and report changes to DON.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Position Summary

The LPN Treatment Nurse provides primary skin care to patients under the medical direction and supervision of patients’ attending physicians and registered nurse, as indicated, in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

• Attended an accredited LPN program
• Currently licensed/registered in applicable State. Must maintain an active Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) license in good standing throughout employment.
• Prior wound care experience preferred
• One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred
• CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
