SAFY of America in Louisville and Elizabethtown, KY is seeking a full-time Treatment Director to lead the High Fidelity Wraparound program. You will provide clinical oversight, supervise staff, and ensure quality of care while partnering with the State Director and finance to manage the division's budget.

The role emphasizes family voice, individualized planning, and community-based services. You will develop staff, supervise treatment plans, and drive outcomes for children and families we serve.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in the field of social work or related human services field.
  • LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC required.
  • Three years experience in the field of social services; one year in supervisory/administrative capacity and two years in providing direct care services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high performing divisional team. Provide direction to staff in the form of answers to problems and advice on performance and youth challenges. Establish performance goals for the division and monitor progress.
  • Interview candidates applying for assigned clinical and non-clinical positions in the division.
  • Train assigned staff, including thorough training for new employees and ensuring ongoing continuing education.
  • Assign performance goals, conduct monthly supervision, and perform scheduled evaluations for all direct reports; establish schedules and on-call rotation for coverage.
  • Supervise treatment plan development and reviews; provide supervisory backup for treatment foster parents and staff; conduct division treatment team meetings.
  • Work with State Director and finance department to develop an annual operating budget and monitor monthly financial information.

Education

Master’s degree in the field of social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, child & family studies, or other approved related field of human services.

Job description

SAFY is seeking a full time Treatment Director for our High Fidelity Wraparound program in our Louisville and Elizabethtown divisions in Kentucky.

As a Treatment Director, you will be responsible for treatment and quality of care for the families we serve. Provide continuous direction, assistance, and clinical oversight to those supervised. Accountable for the fiscal viability of the division.

High Fidelity Wraparound (Wraparound) is an evidence-based approach rated as “Promising” on the Title IV-E Prevention Clearinghouse. Wraparound centers on individualized care planning and coordination to support children and families with complex needs. The core principles of Wraparound include family voice and choice, natural supports, team-based, collaboration, community-based services, individualized planning, strength-based approaches, persistence, outcome-based, and cultural competence. Essential to the success of Wraparound programming is ensuring staff are adequately trained, the program is sustainable, and there are adequate resources to support the needs of youth and families enrolled in the Wraparound program.

The proposed program aims to achieve the following outcomes for children and families:

  • Prevention of Foster Care Involvement: By providing targeted support, Wraparound intends to decrease the need for out-of-home placements and maintain the stability of families.
  • Improved Family Functioning: Wraparound will help families develop stronger communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, and coping mechanisms to navigate challenges more effectively.
  • Enhanced Youth Well-being: At-risk youth will experience improved emotional well-being, academic performance, and overall life satisfaction through the program's holistic approach.
  • Strengthened Support Systems: Families will establish a robust network of community resources, professionals, and social connections to provide ongoing support beyond the program.

Supervisory
What Treatment Directors Do
  • Lead, coach and develop a high performing divisional team. Provide direction to staff in the form of answers to problems and advice on performance and youth challenges. Establish performance goals for the division and monitor progress.
  • Interview candidates applying for assigned clinical and non-clinical positions in the division.
  • Train assigned staff, which includes, thorough and complete training for new employees and assuring that the current staff receive appropriate continuing education.
  • Assign performance goals, conduct monthly supervision, and perform scheduled evaluations for all direct reports. Establish work schedules and on call rotation among staff to assure coverage of the division.
  • Supervise treatment plan development and reviews. Provide supervisory backup for the needs of treatment foster parents and staff. Conduct division treatment team meetings.
  • Work with State Director and finance department to develop an annual operating budget and work within that budget once approved. Review monthly financial information and make suggestions when necessary.
Clinical
  • Provide crisis intervention.
  • Responsible for oversight of the intake and placement process, coordinating with the Case Coordinators, Clinical Therapists and Family Development Specialists and using them in a consultative role to expedite placement of youth referred.
  • Participate in all rule violation investigations in the division and placement preservation meetings.
  • Review and approve all treatment foster home certifications and re-certifications.
  • Fill in for various positions during an absence or vacancy of staff.
Compliance/Reporting
  • Responsible to ensure that youth, foster parent and other client files are in compliance at all times. Establish a routine schedule for performing file audits with the appropriate Division and auditing staff.
  • In states where applicable, responsible for overseeing divisional compliance for Mental Health Utilization.
  • Visit all foster homes according to SAFY policy and all referral sources annually.
  • Prepare reports, as required, in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Targeted hiring range:$66,000.00 to $86,000.00
    • Compensation is commensurate with transferrable experience, education, and licensure of candidate, location of position, along with internal equity and budgeted amount for the role.
