Job description

New York Family Dentistry is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual with a foreign dental education background to join our team as a Treatment Coordinator. This role offers a fantastic career opportunity for foreign-trained dentists looking to advance their professional and personal experience.

Competitve hourly rates start at $25 / hour plus bonus commission

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Encourage and support nervous patients, recognizing their efforts to seek dental care.
  • Educate patients on the clinical benefits of dental treatment and explain insurance benefits and out-of-pocket costs.
  • Collaborate with a team to assist patients with third-party financing Assist patients in completing financing applications and educate them on credit check processes.
  • Creative problem-solving to help patients achieve their oral health needs. Documented
  • Hand off paperwork to the front desk for processing and upload to patient charts.
  • Leave comprehensive notes on treatment discussions, financial costs, and necessary prior approvals for efficient patient care.

Qualifications

  • Dental Degree (DDS, DMD, or equivalent) from a recognized international institution, with proof of credential evaluation for practice eligibility in the U.S. (if applicable).
  • Experience in clinical dentistry (as a dentist or dental professional) with comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Strong understanding of dental procedures, including restorative, cosmetic, and orthodontic treatments.
  • Fluent in English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
  • Continuing education in dental or healthcare management to stay updated on industry trends and patient care best practices.
