PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure patients understand and schedule necessary treatment.
- Coordinate communication between doctors and patients.
- Build and maintain doctor/hygiene schedules.
- Assist with patient inquiries, including insurance questions.
- Organize and present patient treatment plans with financial obligations and obtain patient agreement.
- Assist with general front office duties as needed.

Specific Duties:
Consultation Management
- Conduct patient consultations.
- Calculate treatment fees based on fee schedules.
- Assist patients with financing, insurance, and treatment concerns.
- Maintain tickler and delayed treatment files.
- Notify patients about pre-estimates and schedule appointments after financial arrangements.
- Prepare treatment consent forms.
- Record chart entries from conversations.
- Manage doctor charts and treatment plans.
- Present financial treatment plans to patients.
- Assist during consultation appointments as directed.
- Make financial arrangements post-consultation.
Patient Management
- Schedule patients with specialists or general dentists.
- Track patient status in the system.
- Schedule treatment follow-ups.
- Handle patient and provider inquiries.
- Review schedule with the doctor daily.
Insurance
- Update insurance information regularly.
- Organize supporting materials for claims.
- Post correct treatment codes for billing.
- Verify insurance benefits and history.
Inventory Management
- Ensure dental equipment is functioning properly.
Office Participation
- Participate in staff meetings.
- Perform tasks assigned by the office manager.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma.
- Legible handwriting.
- Knowledge of dental software is a plus.
- Office experience preferred.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Effective communication and rapport with patients and staff.
- Team player with adaptability.
- Conflict resolution skills.
- Customer service experience.
- Accurate data entry.
- Report concerns to Office Manager.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly rate: $25-$30 based on experience.
