Job description

Role and Responsibilities

The Treatment Coordinator will:

  1. Greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, provide cost estimates, and collect patient financial responsibility.
  2. Manage the doctors' schedule and communicate with patients and referring offices.
  3. Provide concierge-level customer service over the phone, in person, or via electronic communication.
  4. Update and maintain patient insurance information.
  5. Ensure efficient use of the doctor's time by maintaining the schedule.
  6. Partner with the clinical team to ensure an excellent patient experience.
  7. Adhere to deadlines and prioritize work according to the patient schedule.
  8. Collect payments from patients professionally and effectively.
  9. Understand doctor treatment recommendations and develop treatment plans.
  10. Communicate treatment options and costs clearly to patients.
  11. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year of customer service experience required.
  • Medical or dental experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
  • Understanding of dental terminology.
  • Friendly, inviting, and professional demeanor.
  • Basic office skills such as typing and filing.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
