Job summary

Judicial Council of California is seeking a Manager in the Branch Accounting and Procurement office to oversee treasury functions and trust accounting for trial courts. The role involves monitoring cash flow, reviewing fees, and advising on compliance with accounting standards.

Strong supervisory experience and expertise in financial controls are essential. The position offers hybrid work options with in-person work in San Francisco or Sacramento two days weekly, and a strong benefits package

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and five years of professional-level analytical or managerial experience, including supervisory experience.
Or a Master’s degree with two years of professional analytical/managerial experience and supervisory experience.
Alternative: two years in a supervisor role within judicial or state government with related training.

Responsibilities

Oversee and monitor trial court treasury functions, including cash and investments in branch bank accounts.
Manage trust accounting, including review of Uniform Civil Filing Fees and trust disbursements.
Advise courts on compliance with accounting standards and supervise accounting processes.
Provide insights on trial court cash flow and accounting matters to senior leadership.
