POSITION SUMMARY
The Treasury Service Specialist I position maintains the daily operations of the Treasury department focusing on delivering high quality service to Treasury customers. The position includes opening or maintaining commercial accounts, implementing Treasury services, providing ongoing training, and troubleshooting with outstanding customer service. This role is pivotal in managing the daily needs of customers, helping them maximize their use of Treasury services and ensuring exceptional service with all interactions. This position will operate under limited supervision while following established regulatory guidelines and company policy.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manages the process of opening or maintenance of commercial accounts, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete, accurate, and meets compliance standards. Act as a guide for clients through the account setup process, providing clarity on requirements and timelines.
- Collaborates with Treasury Management Officers on new and/or maintenance requests to Treasury customer accounts ensuring compliance and accuracy in documentation during each implementation stage. Follow established SLA guidelines to ensure positive experience and accuracy.
- Oversees the implementation of multiple products including but not limited to ACH, online wires, positive pay, across various systems and ensures seamless functionality.
- Trains Treasury customers onsite or remotely on Treasury products or services, tailoring the training to the customer’s needs to maximize product usage and effectiveness.
- Answers incoming calls to the commercial customer service line to assist in password resets, limit increases, product outages, and general questions. Continually seeking opportunities for process improvement which will lead to enhanced service to customers.
- Ensures a fast turnaround time to responding to tickets in the Treasury ticket box or messages in the online banking system, prioritizing urgent requests such as limit increases or wire requests maintaining high level client support.
- Assists the Treasury Management Officers to resolve complex Treasury Management customer issues or implementations as needed.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for existing Treasury Management customers, addressing inquiries, resolving complex account issues, and ensuring a seamless client experience.
- Offers technical guidance to clients on Treasury Management systems, including troubleshooting and assistance with online platforms. This includes remoting into customer’s computer as needed.
- Verifies new or modified customer implementation agreements, documentation, and setup.
- Backup Treasury Services Manager on updating Account Analysis charges to Treasury customer accounts.
- Stays current on product enhancements, as well changes implemented to our product suite or changes in the market or regulations. Regularly attends internal and external training to stay current.
- Identifies Treasury sales opportunities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge/Skill/Ability
- Individual must be able to work independently and be a self-starter.
- Take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementations to ensure positive customer experience.
- Must exhibit ability to communicate effectively using clear verbal communication as well as through written instruction.
- Demonstrate customer service ability, preferably within the banking/financial industry.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, effective time management skills, strong attention to details and completion of projects assigned.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, or equivalent). Familiarity with banking platforms.
- Strong time management skills, with ability to work overtime when needed based on customer needs
Equivalent Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a banking role.
- 1-2 years customer service or sales experience.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or related field.
- Treasury Management Experience.
