Qualcomm Incorporated in San Diego, CA is seeking a Treasury Senior Financial Analyst – Capital Markets to support and execute financial risk management, capital structure strategy, and debt/liability management. The role partners with senior Treasury leadership to analyze credit markets, manage derivatives, and provide executive reporting.

This position requires full-time onsite work in San Diego, with collaboration across Tax, Legal, FP&A and Business Units.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 3–8 years of progressive experience in Corporate Treasury, Capital Markets, Banking, or Corporate Finance.
  • Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to senior and non‑technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Execute, record, and report on interest rate and FX derivatives in accordance with internal policies and external accounting requirements.
  • Monitor risk exposures and summarize key drivers, sensitivities, and variances versus plan.
  • Partner with Accounting to support hedge documentation, effectiveness analysis, and quarter‑end close processes.
  • Analyze global credit markets, interest rates, and funding conditions to support capital allocation, financing, and refinancing decisions.
  • Support debt capital markets transactions including debt issuance, revolver, liability management, rate locks and hedging.
  • Prepare transaction materials, scenario analysis, and economics comparisons for senior Treasury leadership.
  • Analyze cash forecasts in partnership with Treasury Ops, FP&A, and business unit finance teams.
  • Support quarterly interest expense and income forecast processes and explain variances to leadership.
  • Review bi‑weekly direct cash disbursements and receipts, identifying timing and structural drivers.
  • Monitor bank engagements, wallet analyses, and internal scorecards; communicate macro developments to stakeholders.
  • Use AI tools to monitor exposures and volatility and support risk management decisions.

General Summary: The Treasury Senior Financial Analyst – Capital Markets plays a key role in supporting and executing Qualcomm’s financial risk management, global capital structure strategy, debt and liability management activities, and bank relationship analytics. This role partners closely with senior Treasury leadership to analyze credit markets, execute and manage derivatives, support debt transactions, and produce executive‑level reporting used by the Treasurer, CFO, and Finance leadership.

This role is designed for a highly analytical Treasury professional with strong capital markets fluency who can independently own complex analyses and execution workflows.

This role requires full-time onsite work in San Diego, CA (5 days per week).

This role is not eligible for Qualcomm immigration sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
Derivatives & Financial Risk Management
  • Execute, record, and report on interest rate and FX derivatives in accordance with internal policies and external accounting requirements.
  • Monitor risk exposures (rates, FX, liquidity) and summarize key drivers, sensitivities, and variances versus plan.
  • Partner with Accounting to support hedge documentation, effectiveness analysis, and quarter‑end close processes.
Capital Markets & Financing
  • Analyze global credit markets, interest rates, and funding conditions to support capital allocation, financing, and refinancing decisions.
  • Support execution and post‑execution management of debt capital markets transactions, including:
    • Debt issuance
    • Revolving credit facility
    • Liability management and refinancing analysis
    • Rate locks, interest rate swaps, and related hedging activities.
  • Prepare transaction materials, scenario analysis, and economics comparisons for senior Treasury leadership and executive review.
Cash Flow Forecasting & Interest Expense Analysis
  • Analyze short‑term and long‑term cash forecasts in partnership with Treasury Ops, FP&A, and business unit finance teams, supporting investment and capital structure planning.
  • Support the quarterly interest expense and interest income forecast process; help explain period‑over‑period and plan variances to Treasury and Finance leadership.
  • Review bi‑weekly direct cash disbursements and receipts, identifying timing, volume, and structural drivers.
Bank Relationship Analytics & Market Intelligence
  • Track engagements, mandates, and activity across global banking partners; analyze bank performance and risk‑weighted‑asset return metrics.
  • Support preparation of bank relationship reviews, wallet analyses, and internal scorecards.
  • Monitor macroeconomic, credit market, and capital markets developments; distill implications for Qualcomm and communicate insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
AI and Automation
  • Use AI‑powered tools to monitor exposures, market volatility, geopolitical developments, and macroeconomic trends to support risk management decisions
  • Collaborate on the introduction of automation across various Treasury processes to reduce manual work, improve controls, prevent fraud, and drive continuous process improvement
Cross‑Functional & Strategic Support
  • Partner with Tax, Legal, Accounting, FP&A, and Business Units on capital markets‑related initiatives, compliance needs, and transaction execution.
  • Support ad‑hoc strategic analyses for treasury leadership, including capital return programs (share repurchases, dividends) and stress/scenario analysis.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • ~3–8 years of progressive experience in Corporate Treasury, Capital Markets, Banking, or Corporate Finance, with direct exposure to: debt capital markets, interest rate derivatives, cash flow forecasting and liquidity analysis.
  • Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to senior and non‑technical audiences, consistent with Senior‑level communication expectations.
Preferred
  • Master’s degree (MBA or MS Finance) or professional certification (CTP, CFA).
  • Experience with treasury systems, market data platforms, and bank portals.
  • Exposure to hedge accounting, ASC 815 concepts, or coordination with accounting teams (supporting, not policy‑owning).
  • Prior experience supporting public company debt issuance or large‑scale financing programs.
  • Experience with various AI and process automation tools.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits

$90,600.00 - $135,800.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales‑incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
